As the housing market in New Zealand is so crazy right now, not a lot of people actually own houses. Which means we are all temporary renters, and while renting a house, it can be hard to make it actually feel like home. But as I am a massive nester in new places, I have tried my hardest. Here are a few tips that have helped me to make a house feel like home:

1. Art Pictures, Paintings and Prints. These make all the empty cold spaces on the walls actually feel wonderful. It's a way to express yourself and put your own little signature on the place!

2. Flowers and Plants Nothing brings a place to life better than life itself. Plants and flowers just make the place look incredible and feel so bright!

3. Candles/Scents Adding on to that cosy vibe. Candles and scents, whether they be incense or perfume reeds/air fresheners, just help to make a house feel more lived in and nested, you know?

4. Photos Nothing makes a home more than pictures of your loved ones!

Let me know how you go about nesting in your own home, I'd love to know!

(p.s. how stunning is our new view??)
